II:II is a single table of eleven people, held once a month, for one evening. There is no stage, no panel and no programme. The composition of the table is the work: eleven people are placed against one another so that the evening produces something none of them could have arranged alone.
Eleven seats is the house standard. Commissioned editions are built to the room a client needs, and what is said at the table stays at the table.
The second rung, after TWENTYTWO. It is where an acquaintance becomes a collaborator — and for many it remains the only room they need.
